Sam Cooke est un auteur, compositeur et interprète soul américain. Sa carrière, au summum au début des années 1960 fut brutalement interrompue par sa mort. Elle en a fait le père spirituel du genre. Sam Cooke, né à Clarksdale dans l'État du Mississipi en 1931, est l'un des huit enfants d’Annie Mae et Charles Cook, son père est pasteur baptiste. Alors qu'il est encore tout petit, la famille part s'installer à Chicago en 1933. Dès son plus jeune âge, Sam témoigne d'un goût et d'un talent certains pour le chant, évidemment confiné au genre religieux (la grande influence paternelle aidant)....

The Moog Cookbook is the name of an electronica band made up of Brian Kehew and Roger Joseph Manning Jr. (under the aliases Meco Eno and Uli Nomi) as a parody/tribute to the novelty "Moog records" of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
