AWOLNATION est un groupe de rock indépendant américain. Il s'agit du projet solo d'Aaron Bruno, ancien membre des formations Under the Influence of Giants et Hometown Hero. Jawoll wurde 1981 von Kornelia Scholz und Matthias Kutschke an der Kasseler Kunsthochschule gegründet. Der Gitarrist Robert Foster war Engländer; daher komponierte die Band anfangs ihre Lieder noch größtenteils auf Englisch, so u.a. auch ihren späteren Erfolgstitel „Taxi“. Inspiriert von der Band Ideal entschloss sich Jawoll, nur noch auf deutsch zu komponieren. Seawolves is a swiss band founded in 2004 by Roman Friedrich and Sebastian Jehle. The musical influences of the Band is clearly Swedish Death Metal, mainly melodic but also some relations to Stockholm Old School Bands can be found.
