Misery Inc. was formed in Myrskylä, Finland, October 2001. First there was Janne (guitar), Jukka (bass), Jonttu (drums) and Jukkis (vocals). Their original plan was to make music without any lead guitars but then it turned out to be a bit boring. Teemu joined the band and so Misery Inc. were complete.

Los Miserables es una banda surgida en la comuna de El Bosque, Santiago de Chile. Se forma el 26 de junio de 1990, como una forma de protestar contra la dictadura de Pinochet y la nueva democracia. Su tendencia musical en ese entonces se enfocana en la música punk con lírica política, inspirados en bandas como The Clash, La Polla Records, Kortatu, etc. En ese año graban su primer demo titulado "Ritmo Marginal" y tienen su primera tocata teloneando a la emblemática banda del punk "Fiskales Ad-Hok", en el Cuerpo de Bomberos de La Bandera.
