Os Koltum surgem no começo de 2006, com o final de Winter Storm João Ribeiro (Voz e Baixo) e João Ribeiro (Guitarra) decidem continuar juntos a sua paixão pela música. Começam com o nome de Entropia, mas pouco depois e já com a entrada de Fernando Marques para a Guitarra a designação muda para Koltum. É com esta formação que no final de 2006 gravam no seu local de ensaio a promo "Hours of Darkness" disponível para audição no seu Myspace. Kolt13 was born in summer 2008 with the remix of Digitalism” taken away”. Before his awakening to the electronic scene, he stagnated doing hip-hop music for a long time.
