Neal Joseph Schon nació el 27 de febrero de 1954 en Oklahoma. Neal empezó a tocar música cuando sólo tenía 5 años y a los 15 ya formaba par te de Santana viajando alrededor del mundo. En 1973 abandonó Santana para formar Journey. Neal es el único miembro de la banda que ha participado en todos sus discos. Sus grandes influencias son Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton y Jeff Beck. Otros de sus proyectos incluyen Schon & Hammer, HSAS, Bad English, Hardline, Soul Sirkus... aparte de sus discos en solitario. .

Conway was born in Bristol, England. He had no formal piano training and spent his early adulthood in the Navy. Conway was talent-spotted while playing in a London club, signed to Columbia Records and spent the mid 1950s providing backing for their artists including Gracie Fields and Joan Regan. However, the commercial potential of Conway's unique percussive piano style (which he attributed to a missing fingertip he had severed many years previously with a bread slicer) was too great for him to remain in the background for long. Originally from Rural Victoria, Australia, Conway Savage's soulful piano based work treads a similar path to Nighthawks At The Diner era of Tom Waits.
