The Judybats were an "alternative rock" band from Knoxville, Tennessee. They recorded four albums and two singles from 1990 to 1994 and had minor success with a cover of Roky Erickson's "She Lives (In A Time of Her Own)" and their 1993 song "Being Simple". Judith Allen Roderick was born in 1942. She released her first album, Ain't Nothin' But the Blues in 1964. Her best selling album, Woman Blue was recorded in 1965 with accompaniment by two guitarists, Dick Weissman and Artie Traum. In 1966, Woman Blue was released in the United Kingdom and a promotional trip was arranged. Judy Roderick performed at many clubs in UK and also in the Cambridge Folk Festival.
