Affectionately known as 'Bulbul' (nightingale) for his melodic voice, Khalid hails from Lyon, France though he was born in Casablanca, Morocco in 1969. Khalid began singing from the tender age of 7 and in the late 90s he was lead vocalist in the French based band 'Badr'. His albums 'Les Noms de Dieu' (The Names of God) and 'Paroles Veridiques' (True Word) were both released in France in 2002. Halid Bešlić (born 20 November 1953, Sokolac, Yugoslavia, now Bosnia & Herzegovina), is a popular folk singer in Bosnia and Herzegovina and equally popular in the other former Yugoslav republics. He has recorded 15 albums since starting his career in 1979. He has also contributed to the soundtracks to many Bosnian and regional films, such as “Kod amidze Idriza” 2005, “Gori vatra” (2003), and “Armin” (2007). .
Khalid is American singer/songwriter from El Paso, Texas. He burst onto the music scene with his first single "Location", which received great critical acclaim and praised for his soulful, gentle and mellifluous voice perfectly suitable for a retro soul. Started when he was only 18, fresh from the halls of high school, his music is full of youthful innocence and poetic passion.
