Darude (* 17. Juli 1975 in Eura, Finnland; eigentlich Ville Virtanen) ist ein finnischer DJ. Schon von klein auf sehr interessiert an Tanzmusik, legte er als DJ auf Schulpartys auf. Weil er den Song Rudeboy von Leila K. öfter spielte als alle anderen, bekam er von seinen Freunden den Spitznamen „Rudeboy“. Daraus entstand später sein Künstlername Darude. 1996 begann Darude mit der Produktion eigener Songs. The Intruders waren eine US-amerikanische Gesangsgruppe.
