Alright formed in early 2014 in Charlotte, NC. After playing shows for a few months with a fill-in drummer, the band cemented the trio with the addition of Garrett Herzfeld (It Looks Sad, Richard Parker). The other members have served time in Late Bloomer, Pullman Strike, Obstruction and Meth Mountain to name a few. Formed in Niagara Falls by guitarist Greg Fraser and bassist Stevie Skreebs in 1982, the band also included vocalist Gerry McGhee, keyboardist Martin Victor and drummer Mark Cavarzan. After their song "Barricade" was selected for CILQ's Q107 Homegrown album in 1984, they independently released a self-titled EP the following year. They subsequently signed to WEA for their full-length debut, Young, Wild and Free, in 1986, adding Johnny Rogers on keyboards replacing Martin Victor. Gary Wright (* 26. April 1943 in New Jersey, USA) ist ein amerikanischer Musiker. Gary Wright trat schon als Kind in einer TV Show auf. In den 1960er Jahren kam er nach Europa (u.a. auch nach Berlin) um Psychologie zu studieren. 1967 wurde er Mitglied der Gruppe Spooky Tooth. Die Gruppe löste sich mehrmals auf und reformierte sich wieder. In den Zwischenzeiten verfolgte er eine Solo-Karriere, die 1976 in dem Hit (und Album) "Dream Weaver" gipfelte. .
