The Technical Jed (From Wikipedia) The Technical Jed was a rock band from Richmond, Virginia. The band started when Daniel Bartels and David Bush, who were working together at an oriental carpet store, asked Clancy Fraher and Steve Brooking to join them. Fraher taught Bartels some open tunings on his new telecaster, then promptly left the country to explore Europe for a month. Back in 1991 Mark Caro aka 'Technical Itch' was based in Birmingham, DJing at local parties and starting out on the production trail with a very limited set up. As the years passed Mark's unit became more professional and he released tracks as ENTT through the Ibiza label. Mark had by now hooked up with Darren Beale (Decoder), who helped him out on the first Plasmic Life EP that appeared on Bizzy B's 'Brain' imprint. Technical Difficulties was a Filking ("filk" is folk music, usually with a science fiction or fantasy theme, often characterized as a derivative work based on books, movies, or television shows, and produced within the SF fandom community) group composed of Sheila Willis, Linda Melnick and T.J. Burnside. Their two albums (pruduced only on cassette), were "Please Stand By" and "Station Break". Both albums are now unavailable. The group recieved a "Best Performer" Pegasus award in 1989 from The Ohio Valley Filk Fest, which administers the genre-wide award. .
