"Quinteto Tati" (meaning the Tati Quintet) is a portuguese band that made its debut in 2004. Despite the name, honouring the cineast Jacques Tati, the band has six members, and not five. The vocalist and lyric author is JP Simões, known as vocalist of the band Belle Chase Hotel.
The music by Quinteto Tati has a jazzy influence and borrows from rumba, waltzes and a certain decadent "latinicidade". The writing of music is shared between JP Simões and Sérgio Costa, also a member of Belle Chase Hotel, originally from Coimbra.
