"Quinteto Tati" (meaning the Tati Quintet) is a portuguese band that made its debut in 2004. Despite the name, honouring the cineast Jacques Tati, the band has six members, and not five. The vocalist and lyric author is JP Simões, known as vocalist of the band Belle Chase Hotel. The music by Quinteto Tati has a jazzy influence and borrows from rumba, waltzes and a certain decadent "latinicidade". In 1974, the soul-pop vocal group Trio Ternura, consisting of Jussara, Jurema and Robson, became a quintet with the addition of members Léo and Zé Roberto as part of the group.
