The False Prophets were a New York City based Punk/Hardcore band from 80s and early 90s signed to Jello Biafra’s Alternative Tentacles label. While their lineup changed, it was Stefan Ielpi's vision that drove the band. They went beyond the usual bass drums and guitar formula of hardcore bands of their day including fiddles, horns and keyboards. .
