Dying Fetus ist eine US-amerikanische Death-Metal-Band aus Annapolis, Maryland, die 1991 gegründet wurde. Ihre Texte handeln von Politik, Gewalt und Religion und waren früher von Gore-Elementen durchsetzt. 1995 erscheint ihr erstes offizielles Album "Infatuation with Malevolence" in Eigenproduktion und bald darauf folgt auch eine Tour durch den Osten der USA. 1996 kommt das zweite Album "Purification Through Violence" welches über Pulverized Records läuft, erneut folgt nun eine Tour durch ganz Amerika mit Szenengrößen wie Kataklysm oder Monstrosity. As I Lay Dying (oft abgekürzt AILD) ist eine US-amerikanische Metalcore-Band, die 2000 von Ex-Society's Finest-Gitarrist Tim Lambesis und Schlagzeuger Jordan Mancino gegründet wurde. Der Name der Band stammt von dem englischen Originaltitel des Romans Als ich im Sterben lag von William Faulkner. Geschichte Entstehung und Encasing of Ashes (2000–2003) As I Lay Dying wurde 2000 in San Diego, Kalifornien gegründet. Im Jahr 2001 kam ein erstes Line-Up zustande und kurz darauf veröffentlichte die Gruppe im Juni 2001 bei Pluto Records das Album Beneath the Encasing of Ashes. 2002 nahmen sie mit American Tragedy weitere Lieder für eine Split-CD auf....

Features ex-members of Nuzzle. They have released two albums and an EP as the Dying Californian, both on Turn Records (home of Thee More Shallows, Citizens Here and Abroad). Musically they follow on from the Nuzzle LP that was released on Troubleman Unlimited, playing rather sad sounding alt-country / indie rock. .

Studying was a band of bummer dudes from northern Virginia.
