Darkest Hour ist eine fünfköpfige US-amerikanische Melodic Death Metal-/Metalcore-Band. Darkest Hour formierten sich 1995 und bestanden urspünglich aus dem Sänger John Henry, Gitarrist Michael Schliebaum, Bassist Raul Mayorga und Schlagzeuger Matt Maben. Die Band veröffentlichte ihre erste EP mit dem Namen "The Misanthrope" im Jahr 1996 bei einem lokalen Label namens Death Truck Records. 1999 wurde eine weitere EP mit dem Namen "The Prophecy Fulfilled" wieder bei einem anderen Label namens Art Monk Construction veröffentlicht. The Last Hour ist ein Solo-Projekt von Roberto Del Vecchio (ex Gothica / Les Jumeaux Discordants). In der Vergangenheit hat es sich mit der Band Gothica einen Namen gemacht, mit der er die beiden CDs „Night Thoughts“ (2000) und „The Cliff of Suicide“ (2003) auf dem Schwedischen Label Cold Meat Industry veröffentlichte.
