My Excellence ist eine österreichische Crossoverband aus Wien mit Einflüssen aus Pop, Punk und klassischer Musik. Bekannt wurde sie durch die Veröffentlichung der ersten Single For God's Sake, die Anfang November 2008 in die Ö3 Austria Top 40 einstieg. Die Gruppe steht bei Universal Music/Island Records unter Vertrag. Am 1. Mai 2009 erscheint ihr Album Pomp's Not Dead. Bislang war die Gruppe durch Airplay auf mehreren deutschen und österreichischen Radiostationen und Konzertauftritte bekannt. Formed originally as the Premiers in 1960 in New York, USA, the Excellents consisted of John Kuse (lead), Joel Feldman (baritone), Denis Kestenbaum (falsetto), George Kuse (first tenor), Phil Sanchez (second tenor) and Chuck Epstein (bass). They signed to Mermaid Records, where their revision of Al Jolson’s ‘When The Red, Red Robin, Comes Bob-Bob-Bobbin’ Along’ was coupled with another cover, the Jesters’ ‘Love No One But You’, as their debut single. Encouraged by local airplay, they followed this with a second disc, their version of the Cleftones’ ‘You Baby You’ on the a-side and ‘Coney Island Baby’ on the b-side....
