Blood Tsunami ist eine norwegische Thrash-Metal-Band aus Oslo, die im Jahre 2004 gegründet wurde. Ihr Name geht auf das Lied Drenched in Blood der ebenfalls norwegischen Band Turbonegro zurück.
Geschichte
Blood Tsunami wurde im Jahre 2004 von Peter „Pete Evil“ Michael Kolstad Vegem (E-Gitarre, Gesang), Jørgen „Jay“ Nordlie (Schlagzeug), Riff Randall (E-Bass) und Kristoffer „Dor Amazon“ Sørensen (E-Gitarre, Backing Vocals) gegründet. Im selben Jahr nahmen sie ihre erste Demo Blood All Over auf. Ihren ersten Auftritt hielten sie am 24. August 2004 als Unterstützung der Band Entombed. The Flaming Tsunamis are an experimental hardcore/punk band that incorporates a diverse range of eclectic musical styles further accentuated by their inclusion of a horn section, keyboards, samples and auxiliary percussion. Based out of New Haven, CT the fiercely DIY and relentlessly touring six piece has put out releases on Kill Normal, a label that members of the band founded. Since their formation in 1999 the band has released 2 EPs and 2 full-length albums. In 2011 the band announced "Externalities", their latest and potentially final album.
