Rakim Mayers (geboren 1988), besser bekannt unter seinem Künstlernamen ASAP Rocky (Schreibweise: A$AP Rocky), ist ein amerikanischer Rapper. Geboren und aufgewachsen in Harlem, veröffentlichte er 2011 das Mixtape LiveLoveA$AP. Zurzeit steht er bei RCA/Polo Grounds Music unter Vertrag. Mayers persönliche Schicksalsschläge verarbeitete er durch Rap und brachte damit seine verletzten Gefühle zum Ausdruck. Seit 2007 gehört er zum „Always Strive and Prosper“, kurz ASAP, einem losen Verbund Jugendlicher aus Manhattan. The group was composed of four Filipino brothers: Tony, Junior, Eddie, and Albert Maligmat, and their father, Doroteo "Moro" Maligmat.
