SunMin (μ„ λ―Ό) was born in a large city in South Korea and speaks Korean and Japanese and performs in both languages. She loved to sing and sing in front of neighbors and relatives since childhood. At age 13, her first year of middle school she was enchanted by a live of Christina Aguilera and told many people and dreamed of singing. She was determined to aim to be a singer in Japan so she came to Japan. She continued to study Japanese and do vocal training and made a demo tape of her singing and prepared for her first time debut in Japan.

SunMin debuted with her first single in 2006 - a collaboration with established j&b singer Toshinobu Kubota, for the movie Nihon Chinbotsu. She also did a duet of the same song with with Hyesung from Shinhwa for the Korean version of the song.

Her latest album BRAND NEW GIRL was released in 2008.
