There are two bands by the name of Blurt: 1) Formed in 1979 by brothers Ted and Jake Milton with guitarist Peter Creese. The band made their recording debut on Factory Records, but released albums on many different labels throughout their thirty-year career. An Ian Blurton (Change of Heart, Bionic, C'mon) project, Blurtonia was a Canadian rock group, formed in May 1999 to play live shows in support of the well-received self-released debut Adventures in the Kingdom of Blurtonia. The debut album was co-produced by Daryl Smith whose credits include Sloan, Tricky Woo, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. In addition to Adventures, Blurtonia released one other self-titled album released on Grenadine Records in 2002.
