Sachiko is a Japanese underground vocalist, bassist, violinist and electronics artist, who is also active as a graphic designer. Began her musical career in Nagoya, Japan in 1988 before moving to Tokyo in 2001. She has played with many groups including 光束夜 (Kousokuya), Overhang Party and Tangerine Dream Syndicate. Currently active as a solo artist and in the duo Vava Kitora. Sachiko is also the owner of the Musik Atlach label. .

Sachiko M has been active as a sampler player since 1994. Early in her career she was involved in the cut-up and "plunderphonic" sampling movements. In '98, in a drastic departure from those approaches, she originated the revolutionary method she uses to this day--manipulating the sampler's internal test tones. Sachiko Kanenobu (aka Japanese: 金延幸子 and かねのぶさちこ), is generally acknowledged as Japan’s first female singer-songwriter. Discovered as an precocious 18 year old (in Osaka, Japan), Sachiko was signed in 1968 to Japan’s first ever independent record company, URC (Underground Record Club), who changed Japan’s musical landscape irrevocably, in the late 60s and early 70s, with artists including: はっぴいえんど, Folk Crusaders and 遠藤賢司.
