Shinichi Osawa made his debut as the leader and bassist for MONDO GROSSO, a band formed in Kyoto in 1991, with an album “MONDO GROSSO” released in 1993 from For Life Records (Japan). In the heightened acid-jazz movement, the album got great reviews and was well-received overseas as well. In 1995, after finishing off the tour following the release of the second album “Born Free,” the band was disbanded. CHERRYBLOSSOM was a Japanese 5 piece band that consisted of MEEKO (vocal), MAICO (vocal), KUPPA (guitar), 83 (bass), and Yucchi (drum). The band debuted with a mini album, Riskygirl, in 2007 then later released three singles before the debut full album, GO! in 2008. They were commonly known for their song DIVE TO WORLD, CYCLE and Sakura Rock (桜ロック) that was used as the theme for the anime Katekyo Hitman Reborn. Disbanded in 2010. .
