The Buddha Bar is an exclusive and highly-regarded bar and restaurant in Paris, France, and is a Buddha-themed venue serving Asian cuisine. The two-storey dining area is dominated by a large statue of Buddha. The upstairs bar is a large, ornate dragon. The Buddha Bar originally became popular because of the DJ's choice of eclectic, avant-garde music.
Buddha Bar has also opened a venue in Beirut, Lebanon & Dubai, UAE, and New York City. Buddha Bar is also the name of a popular and exclusive, yet unrelated bar in Barcelona.

Buddha Brand (ブッダ・ブランド Budda Burando) is a Japanese hip hop group consisting of rapper and producer Dev Large, rapper Nipps, CQ, and Dj Masterkey.
The four members of Buddha Brand met in New York City in 1988 and performed under several names (Uwasa no Channeru, Numb Brain Buddha Brand) before settling on the name Buddha Brand in 1990. During this period, Dev Large and DJ Master Key were regular DJs at several clubs in Brooklyn, including Gorilla's Den and Soul Powers.
Buddha Brand returned to Japan in June of 1995 and released several recordings between 1996 and 2000. .
Rising from the ashes and Digging For Victory Soundsci is the brainchild of JonnyCuba (Dynamic Syncopation) and Audessey (MassInfluence) after collaborating previously while in MassInfluence on numerous occasions for Ninja Tune (Ground Zero, Dedicated, Systematic and 2 Tha Left) they kept in touch and continued making music together. While making the first project “Dig for Victory” DJ Ollie Teeba (Herballiser) and U-George (Hemisphere) where brought in on the project and they became a constant part of the sound which lead to them joining the Soundsci crew.
